Nano-TiO<sub>2</sub>/MWCNT composite coating with high DC flashover strength and super hydrophobicity

Abstract Epoxy resin (EP) materials are frequently used in high voltage power equipment because of their excellent electricity, force, and heat properties. However, under the condition DC voltage, surface EP insulation material is more likely to accumulate charge, which distorts nearby electric field causes flashover along surface. In this article, a nanocomposite coating was prepared by spraying through nanoparticles (TiO 2 with carbon nanotubes) dispersed polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) elastomers solution. Micro-nano porous structures introduced process, hinders development collision ionization increases strength coating. At same time, change morphology makes hydrophobic properties improve enhances anti-icing anti-fouling capacity. Spraying nano filler provides general method for improving hydrophobicity strength.
